.macau

went Macau on 26th of Feb. With June and her family. Spent 3 days 2 night there.

june, me and her sis, Jing Ying

we flew with airasia and when we land, we landed next to the sea

we stay at Taipa. Not far from The Venetian and the airport.
Taipa is an island apart from the Macau Peninsula.

*map from www.cheaphotelasia.net*

took a taxi towards hotel. They set their metre to jump from MOP$11. If not mistaken.

mr. Tony Leung on the cab! He's the spokesperson for StarWorld.

we stayed in Grand View Hotel. Quite nice~ =)

Then we went for our 1st lunch at Macau.

then back in our room
and this is the view from our window
we again, took taxi to see the Ruins of St. Paul's.
there are 3 bridges that connect Taipa island to macau peninsula
soon, we reached. the 大三巴, St. Paul.
their street sign
then we head to the museum. It's not far from the St. Paul.
We decided to go for the museum 1st. As from others' websites, there're escalators to bring u up to the museum, and then only you go to see the cannons at the Fortress.
If u go for the cannon first, then u would have to walk uphill. XD

near to the museum entrance, there is a souvenir shop. There are a lot of little cannon key-chains, with a single chinese character carved at the bottom. Couldn't find my first name. Then i go for the 秦 (can't really remember it's 秦 or 陈... cuz dunno where i've put it>.<) Bought two for my parents too. Bought a Macau map there. Very useful!
These small ppl remind me of Night at the Museum. XD
it's kind of creepy, standing near those dolls/puppets
saw this hanging in a cupboard. HAHAHA! Thought it looks like Drew Berrymore!
Imagine, having these kind of hangers in ur wardrobe...
then, we came out from the dunno which floor (exit) of the museum and
arrived at the Mount Fortress/Monte Forte.
The Museu de Macau (The Museum of Macau) was built on the hill in the 90's.
Fish balls. Hmmm...not very into it.
my first 猪扒猪仔包 Pork Chop Bun. Yuhhh, so yummy!!!!! There is this very famous Pork Chop Bun shop at Taipa, which is 氹仔's 大利来记猪扒包. Can't wait to buy from there
钜记@手信一条街.
muahhahahaaa, so many things to eat!
almond cookies, chicken floss wrapped with egg roll and seaweed (my all time fav), peanut biscuits, candies, bah kua (so many variety), and etc.

didnt went into the casino lisboa. Dun feel like going into it. =)
Wynn Macau~~ Breezy evening with cold winds. >.<
We went StarWorld Casino to meet up with Vinny. Then she led us to Wynn and wanna show us something very special. Upon the entrance, I heard Coco Lee's song (lupa what song it is) and saw a fast-spinning-gigantic tree in the middle of the concourse area. It's the Tree of Prosperity. So chun manz... We've missed the opening (which i wonder how it look like). Vinny said luckily we manage to catch up for this. Hehe. Soon, it gradually moves down to the bottom.
then, you can see something like this. Like the upper hemisphere of a globe.
then, the ceiling above the tree will close as well. Like these...
huah... as if i were in a sci-fi movie.

then we walked to MGM. This is dunno which part of their hall.
Their signature? Lion~~
then the next day...
breakfast time in our hotel
i like their fried noodle =)
our first destination is the Lotus Square 金蓮花廣場
again, it's a very cold morning
then we went Grand Prix Museum, which located opposite the Golden Lotus Square. Btw, we bought a Musuem Pass at the Museum of Macau. It's only MOP$25. Entitled for 6 museums' entry. We went 3 out of 6. Worth laa. hahahaa.
The Wine Museum housed in the same building with the Grand Prix Museum. With the Museum Pass, we can get a small glass of free wine (choose from few wines) upon the Wine Museum Exit.
then we walked to the Macau Fisherman's Wharf. Very sunny. Glazing sun!
the Roman Coliseum~~~~ XD
Amsterdam~~
Then we headed back to Taipan for our beloved Pork Chop Bun.~~~~~~
Did some research before coming to Macau, ppl mentioned that the famous
大利來記's business hour is from 3pm-5pm. So we die die oso must arrive by 5pm. But we went back hotel before we came out.
The hotel ppl said it's not very far from our hotel, so Jing Ying and I decided to walk there.
In mid of our journey, we decided to take a cab. The 司机大佬 said "
大利來記.... 好近geh worr..转个弯就倒worr.."
I replied "doesn't matter..."

When we arrived, we see no customer there and the shop was closed.
We're like "ahhhhhh, we're late!!!!"

who knows... they're off to holiday from 27/02 to 05/03!
means I dun even have the chance to try their bun in this trip!!!!!!! duh!
then we decided to walk back to hotel. Along the street, lots of shops selling egg tarts, pork chop buns and also portugal cuisine. =) We went into a pet shop and played with the cute doggies too~~
Saw from the net, ppl said this restaurant is a must try. Hmmm
i like their street sign very much. =)
官也街 Rua do Cunha in Taipa is a must go place too. Yet we didnt go la. =(

We're very hungry, so we bought some dumplings from this shop.
quite nice. Their soybean drink is nice too.
in the evening, we took a taxi from our hotel to the Venetian. Their grand canal is very nice. Hehe.
oww... my fav clock!
exterior
Piazza San Marco. They broadcast nice and soothing classical music outside!
At first, i have no idea what was this, until i passed by it. HUAH, HOT!
so nice. They put at the taxi stand so that the passengers wont feel cold.
In the airport, before we went on board.
We came back to Johor's Senai airport. Then June brought me to Johor Bahru's Ah Koong restaurant.
Super nice... their fish cakes and curry noodle.
Before we went back to KL, we went to Kluang railway station.
Tried their steamed bun, toasted bun, nasi lemak, fried beehoon and milo.
Their nasi lemak and fried beehoon were super small. 50 cents per packet.
bought this magnet during my trip
exactly the same with their street sign
June gave me this after her previous trip to Macau.
and the fridge~*song of the moment: Yael Naim - Too Long*
